![]() Simon D puts all these rumours and assumptions to rest in Darkroom by explaining the simple yet sad reason behind his absence: depression. Neither AOMG nor its members made any announcements or answered any questions, which led fans to assume that perhaps Simon Dominic was busy managing AOMG, given Jay Park’s busy schedule. He followed their release by re-releasing his album on July 29 with two new singles in addition to the original 8.įor fans and non-fans alike, Simon D’s long, unexplained hiatus inspired disconcertedness, dismay, and demanding comments on his label-mates’ social media. Simon D revealed the live renditions of “Demolition Man” with Kim Jong-seo, and “Me No Jay Park” on July 24th and 25th respectively. Simon D announced the album a mere 6 hours prior to release on his Instagram and didn’t release any music videos alongside his album-save for a “Making Of” video of the album’s title song “Demolition Man”-until July 24th. Simon Dominic’s Darkroom is the fruition of a year of Instagram hiatus, 2 years of sporadic activities, and 3 years of no original music Simon Dominic’s last single was “₩ and Only” featuring Jay Park in 2015. On June 15 earlier this year, Simon Dominic (also known as Simon D) released Darkroom: Roommates Only, his first full album since joining AOMG as co-CEO in 2014. The energy level was always at an optimal high that could be felt and heard all around, like a party you never wanted to end.Simon Dominic Works through his Depression in "Darkroom: Roommates Only" The lighting during the sets was definitely thought out and helped portray the feeling of each song. Throughout the concert the sea of light sticks was a nice sight as well as the name placards and signs the guys would point out as they would look into the crowd. Staff even came out onto the stage and threw some used towels and water bottles the guys used during the show. ![]() Some were still dancing in the pit and others were showing their videos and pictures to their friends as they talked about their favorite parts of the concert. Once the concert was over, many of the fans still lingered around in case any of AOMG came out for an encore. At the conclusion of the song they said their goodbyes and left the stage. Jay then told the crowd there was only one song left, but AOMG and the crowd let it all go with their final performance of “I LIKE 2 PARTY”. They all got the crowd hyped as they exuded energy through their performances of “Success Crazed”, “Thinking About You” and others. He continuously captivated the crowd with his dancing and had many singing along to his songs including “Solo” and “Mommae.” After awhile, the rest of AOMG joined him on stage to perform together. After performing “All I Wanna Do” Jay spoke to the audience (through all the screaming and chanting) about the tour and the city. The lights dimmed and out came Jay Park singing along to his song “2ND THOTS”. After this, they went on to perform their solos and collaborations including “Summer Night”, “Respect”, and “Just Do It” to which many sang along to! Both Gray and Loco took a moment to introduce themselves and to speak with the fans in both English and Korean as no translator was present. Loco continued his set with “No More” leading into “If I”, where Gray came and joined him. ![]() ![]() Loco then joined Simon Dominic on stage to perform “We Up There 2”. He then continued to perform some crowd favorites that included “Simon Dominic” and “Dang Dang Dang.” ![]() At one point during his set Simon taught the audience some Korean. After the song he introduced himself in English as well as DJ Pumkin. Simon Dominic took to the stage and opened with his track “Simon Says” which had the crowd dancing along. Soon after, the light dimmed and the concert began. To pass time, two of Siva Group’s staff member came out to hype up the crowd, toss out some light sticks, and even an AOMG hat. Once inside, they played tracks from the AOMG artists to get the attendees excited for the show. Many VIP holders arrived early to the venue to secure their spots in pit and to partake in the benefits of hi-touch and a photo-op with AOMG before the show.Īt around 6:35PM the staff began to let fans into the venue.
